The Yaesu FTM-400DR-DE is a dual-band VHF/UHF mobile transceiver offering both analog and C4FM System Fusion digital modes, integrated APRS and GPS, and a range of high-performance features for mobile and base operations.
It supports three digital modes (V/D Voice/Data, Voice Full Rate, Data Full Rate) and one analog FM mode. It also has Automatic Mode Select (AMS) to detect and switch between modes automatically.
AMS instantly detects the received signal's mode (digital or analog) and switches the radio to that mode without manual intervention, reducing the need for constant mode changes.
